Shape Builder

Kittl’s Shape Builder makes it easy to combine, subtract, and merge vector elements — right inside your canvas. Whether you're building logos, icons, or geometric layouts, it helps you create complex shapes from simple ones with just a few clicks.

When Shape Builder is available

You’ll see Shape Builder options in the Right panel when your selection includes:

• Vector objects
• Groups of shapes
• Imported SVG elements
• Editable text

How to use Shape Builder

Once you’ve selected your vector elements:

1. Head to the Right panel — you’ll find Shape Builder under your tool options
2. Choose from the available actions:
3. Unite – Merge everything into a single shape
4. Subtract – Cut the top shape from the one below
5. Intersect – Keep only the overlapping area
6. Exclude – Remove the overlapping area and keep everything else
7. Click the action that fits your design — your new shape is created instantly
8. You can now refine the result using vector editing mode to adjust nodes and curves
