Description

There’s just something wonderful about a classic college-style design. Whether it’s beautiful embroidered text across a comfy sweater, or a full logo on the back of a jacket, these vintage-inspired designs always catch attention. So now it’s your turn to create one! We’re challenging you to create your own college apparel design. Think of what it will look like on a shirt, sweatshirt, hoodie, or jacket, and use our preset 16 x 20 artboard here to create your design (even free subscribers can use this artboard size! Just click the link above. Here are some useful tips to think about:

  • Use a collegiate style font or type that fits the aesthetic
  • Use illustrations like animals that commonly represent a school mascot
  • Limit your colors
  • Try creating a badge to house your mascot if you use one
  • Consider incorporating a state flag

You can follow along with our tutorial below on how we came up with our own college apparel, taking after a retro-inspired school logo.

So go stretch your design muscles with this challenge for a chance to win Kittl AI credits to create beautiful images, icons, and even vector art!
